A Brief Look At How The iPod Changed The Industry

The original iPod became an industry phenomenon that other companies have tried to emulate. The iPod made it possible for users to put all their music CDs on one device, saving thousands of hours of music on one compact product that allowed a listener the opportunity to hold their music library anywhere they went. Apple removed the need for huge carrying cases that crammed up to 100 CDs per case by building a device to save all those CDs in one, compact space. With the iPod, individuals could carry thousands of hours of songs in their hands without the requirement of hundreds of CDs. Apple's success with the iPod helped usher in an age of newer items, new accessories, such as the iPod Classic cases, and even innovative features that changed the entire MP3 industry.
