Telah beredar luas sebuah foto yang menunjukkan hasil rontgen Marco Simoncelli usai mengalami kecelakaan di GP Malaysia beberapa waktu lalu. Foto rontgen tersebut beredar luas di grup BlackBerry Messenger (BBM). Dalam foto tersebut tampak tulang tengkuk Simoncelli yang patah akibat. Patahnya tulang tersebut besar kemungkinan akibat terlindas oleh Colin Edwards dan Valentino Rossi.
